- Caleb wholly followed Jehovah God of Israel
- Caleb's clear stand in his living
- He was one of the 12 spies, but he believed God and brought a good report and encouraged the people to go up and enter the land-Num. 13:30-33; 14:6-10
- Jehovah promised to bring Caleb into the land because he had another spirit in him (a believing spirit to choose and fully follow God)-Num. 14:20-24
- When he entered the land he asked for the mountain of Hebron where the giants (Anakim) lived-Joshua 14:6- 15; 15:13-14
- He was as strong at age 85 as he was in his 40's
- He chose to fight the giants in his old age and he drove out the three sons of Anak
- Caleb said that whoever would strike Debir and take it, he would give to him his daughter as his wife- Joshua 15:15-19
- Othniel, the son of Caleb's brother defeated Debir and Caleb gave him his daughter Achsah as his wife
APPLICATION
- When Achsah came to Caleb he asked her what she wanted and she answered, "Give me a blessing, for you have given me the southland; give me also springs of water. So he gave her the upper and lower springs."
- Caleb lived to an old age, and was allowed to enter the Good Land [ for Joshua and Caleb, all of the first generation of Israel died in the wilderness] because he chose, believed and wholly followed Jehovah Got Today, like Caleb we choose to take a clear, definite stand for God in our daily living.
