Lesson Five

THE DISOBEDIENCE OF MAN AND THE RESULT (2)

Burden to Impart:

When man disobeyed God end sinned, .God had to punnish him. All sorrow, pain, toil, and death came in due to man's sin of disobediance.

Memory Verse: "He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and foesakes them will have mercy" (Proverbs 28:13).
Facts to Teach: (Sripture reading: Gen 3:14-19)


  1. Because the source of man's disobediance to God. was the serpent, the Devil, God cursed the serpent. The serpent would no longer walk the legs, but would slide on it's belly.
  2. God promised Eve that one of her descendants would crush the serpent's head and destroy him. This promise would be fulfilled when Jesus died on the cross.
  3. God punished Adam and Eve because of their disobedience.
    1. Adam would have to work hard and sweat all his life to make the earth produce food.
    2. It would be painful for women to bear children.
    3. They would grow old and one day die.
  4. There were changes in creation after man's disobediance:
    1. The earth did not produce food easily, rather it produced thorns and weeds.
    2. The animals became wild and were no longer peacful toward man.
    3. Death came in.
