In order for God to recover man after he had fallen, the first thing He needed to do was to redeem man back to Himself. God would not give up man; instead, He would pay whatever price was necessary to repossess His lost treasure. So Christ, the Lamb of God, died upon the cross to redeem us by His own precious blood and pay the great debt our sins had incurred (1 Pet. 1:18-19).
Memory Verse:   | “Knowing that it was not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, that you were redeemed from your vain manner of life handed down from your fa-thers, but with precious blood, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot, the blood of Christ;” (1 Peter 1:18-19) |
